Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of bringing or getting traffic for your website, web pages to show result in Google, Yahoo, Bing and other web search engines.
SEO provides a business visibility, branding, web traffic, a high ROI, credibility, and insight into customer behavior.
SEO can be broken down into 2 main stages:-
1. On-Page SEO – On-page SEO comprises most work that’s done to optimize for search engines. Important elements include for Off-Page SEO:
Keywords: Make sure to mention your keywords, and using a primary keyword conveys a page’s purpose to search engines. Closest keywords generate more weight it has with search engines. Mentioned keywords, not only in your H1 tags, but also in the body of your content.
Title Tags: Title tags should include the primary keyword and brand name, usually using separated by a pipe, colon, or comma , like “slit”, “solutions”, “website design”, and “website development” can help you rank for long tail versions of your target keyword.
Header tags: The H1 tag is your headline Tag. You must have implement header tags especially H1, it can improve your search engine ranking. The tag should always include the primary keyword, with following header tags including the keyword where appropriate. You can maximum use only one H1 tag. Afterward, you can use multiple H2 to H6 tags.
Optimized your Content: Pages should contain the primary keyword. Content should be in high quality, relevant to the website, fresh and at least 300-500 words in length for better ranking chance.
SiteMap: Use Sitemap.xml to help search engine for better indexing of your websites and also create sitemap.html for users on the website.
Internal Linking: Internal links can pass universal navigation from one page to another page and gives authority to visitors to let them explore more pages. Make good internal links generate more traffic. Use internal links in every post.
Meta Description: The meta description in the page head-tag set (enclosed in). This is the description you provide search engines in your html tags. The meta description you use for your website should be no longer than 160 characters, also include the keywords you want your target audience to search for.
Permalinks: A permalink is a permanent link of your page and posts, and it doesn’t change with time.
By default, WordPress offers permalinks like this: http://slitsolutions.com/blog/?p=1117
But should be like this: http://slitsolutions.com/blog/benefits-of-psd-to-html-conversion-sl-it-solutions/ .
It is advantageous to include your keywords in these permalinks in order to be considered for higher ranking on Google.
2. Off-Page SEO – Off-page SEO refers to the ranking factors that don’t involve the content or structure of the page in question. Important elements include for Off-Page SEO:
Social Media: Social media to build your off-page SEO. Make your business, blog, website or article use quickly took over the web, search engines. Social media presence will help grow your business and also help you get more back links.
Blog Directory Submission: Directory Submission is a method to constantly submit blog or web directory working to build quality back links. Choose an effective directory and select a proper category and deliver good results. As your blog is promoted via shares social media like (LinkedIn, twitter), this will only enhance your SEO.
PR Article Submission: Press releases are another way to strengthen your off-page SEO. Submit your articles in a high PR article submission directory. You can also give links to your website. Make sure your content is unique and of high quality. Low quality content might get rejected. Choose the correct category and give a unique title to your content.
Guest Posting: Guest posting is another ways to improve your website’s back link. Number of guest post can help you get tons of free back links. Sometimes guest posting even helps you get improved variety of traffic.
